Robert J. Wilson, PLS

Robert “Bob” Wilson started his career in the surveying profession in the late 1980s while enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After his enlistment, Bob earned his Bachelor of Science from Central Washington University. Later Bob and his wife Shannon moved to the San Juan Islands and started a family. He is a 7th generation Islander and has a tremendous amount of local knowledge pertaining to the history of the land which benefits his clients. Bob truly enjoys his profession as a land surveyor because he is able to combine his passion of the outdoors, his finite math skills, a love for history and meeting new people. In 2011, Bob purchased San Juan Surveying.

In his spare time, Bob enthusiastically volunteers at local schools and clubs teaching surveying to young students. He also is a state certified Hunter Safety instructor for the State of Washington. He started the local San Juan Islands Branch of the Land Surveyors Association of Washington. Besides surveying, Bob enjoys fishing, camping, hunting, boating, traveling and spending time with his family.
